Raymont Dominates the Boneo Cup with a One-Two Finish
This afternoon at Boneo Park, the Boneo Cup delivered an exciting two-round contest that showcased top-quality jumping and tight times. The feature class saw combinations return for a second round against the clock, where clear jumping alone wasn’t enough — times were crucial in deciding the final order.

Fourteen combinations started the class, with the top riders from Round 1 progressing to Round 2 to battle it out for the Boneo Cup title. Riders carried their first-round scores through to the final, meaning only those who kept the rails up in both rounds had a chance at the top placings.
In superb form, Billy Raymont claimed both first and second place with his mounts Blue Balou PS and Tulara Dakchico. Both horses jumped faultlessly across both rounds, with Raymont securing the win on Blue Balou PS thanks to the faster Round 2 time of 61.97 seconds, edging out Tulara Dakchico on 62.90 seconds.

Third place went to Shane Davidson and Spectre D, who also produced two clear rounds, stopping the clock in 66.45 seconds in the second round to complete the podium.

The only other combination to finish on a score under four was Mattea Davidson and Jaybee Vigilante, who added just three time penalties from the opening round to finish in fourth after a clear second round.
Hayden Parker and Tulara Spangenberg completed two fast rounds with one rail down in the first to finish on four penalties, while Davidson also filled sixth place with Checkamour D after an eight-penalty total.

Frida Lindgren and Wondaree Colleen matched that total to finish seventh, with Tori Stuckey and Jaybee Ballon Dor rounding out the top eight after retiring in the second round.
The class demanded consistency and precision over both rounds, with clear rounds proving hard to come by and quick times separating the leaders.
