Billy Raymont – Australian Jumping Senior Rider of 2024
This has been a fantastic year for Billy Raymont, with his season starting to heat up in April with his first World Cup Qualifier win at Larapinta with the impressive chestnut gelding Caprino. In front of a large crowd, it was very clear that Billy meant business this year and he was certainly off to an impressive start.

The fourth leg of the 2024 Australian World Cup season was held at Caboolture and in a repeat of their double clear win at Larapinta in the third leg, Billy and Caprino were once again victorious.

After finishing 3rd in the Tamworth World Cup in August, Billy headed to Willinga Park for Jumping @ Willinga in September which incorporated the next World Cup Qualifier of the season. It was at this event that he leapt to the top of the leaderboard after securing the maximum of 20 points for his win, once again with Caprino.
The Australian Jumping Championships were held at Willinga Park in November, with a very close competition for the Senior Title. It was a super championship campaign for Billy, finishing on the podium in third place.
The eighth and penultimate leg of the World Cup season was held as part of the Sydney Summer Classic at SIEC. Billy had two rides in this Qualifier, Caprino and stallion Tulara Dakchico, taking out the win once more with Caprino and by our calculations has secured the 2024 World Cup Australian League title, regardless of the outcome at Sale in February.

All in all a brilliant year for Billy and we suspect just a prelude of bigger things to come in 2025!
