Clint Beresford goes 1, 2 to win the first World Cup Qualifier of the season
Clint Beresford has started the World Cup Qualifier season in fine style to win the FEI Caboolture World Cup Qualifier on his 11 year old gelding SL Donato. To make the win even sweeter, Beresford also took out 2nd place on Emmaville Jitterbug.
Only 4 combinations went clear in Round 1 (Clint Beresford on Emmaville Jitterbug, Erin Buswell on Quero Quero, Clem Smith on Alite and Aaron Hadlow on Vahlinvader). However with the top twelve being brought back for the jump-off, carrying their penalties from Round 1, it was destined to be an exciting race to the podium and wide open for any of the combinations.

Although Beresford and SL Donato carried 4 penalties into the jump-off, they were the only combination to go clear and, with the fasted time of all the 4 faulters, took out the class. Beresford on the ever-impressive Emmaville Jitterbug had an unfortunate rail at the second last, but with the fastest time in the round it was enough to give them 2nd place.
