The 5 Year Old Young Jumping Horse Championship at the 2026 PSI Dressage and Jumping with the Stars brought together 19 combinations, each at a critical stage of their development. Classes like these are designed to reward not just clear jumping, but also technique, scope and rideability, offering an early indication of future potential. From the outset, it was clear the class would be shaped by consistency across the three phases, with judges placing strong emphasis on balance, adjustability and the overall picture each horse presented.

The opening round set a clear benchmark, with Frida Lindgren and Dancing Star De Rock 1 Z (Dieu Merci Van T&L x Dominator 2000 Z) delivering the standout performance to take the early lead on a score of 87.17. The stallion impressed across all three judging components, combining scope with a polished rideability that immediately set him apart.

Phillip Lever followed in second with City Limits 111 (Cherkasy Z x Der Senaat 111) on 80.40, producing a neat and consistent round, while Josh Collins and Dourkhan’s Dream slotted into third with 80.17, just fractions behind. The margins at the top were tight, but there was already a noticeable gap back to the rest of the field, underlining the strength of the leading group.

Sarah Cork and Finch Farm Margot (Massimo Quality x Balou Du Rouet) finished fourth on 78.90, showing good scope and presence, while Phillip returned again in fifth with Coloroy Park Quintano (Quintargo x Diarado) on 75.50, adding a second ride inside the top five and reinforcing his depth in the class.

Round Two reinforced the strength at the top of the leaderboard, with Frida and Dancing Star De Rock 1 Z lifting their performance even further to post a leading score of 92.27. The improvement in marks across all three judging categories confirmed the stallion’s consistency and progression, strengthening their hold on the competition.

Phillip and City Limits 111 also stepped up in the second round, moving to 89.73 and maintaining second position, while Josh and Dourkhan’s Dream again held third with 88.37. The top three combinations remained unchanged, but all three showed clear progression from their opening rounds, setting up a strong contest heading into the final phase.

Behind them, there was movement within the top five. Anneliese Wansey and KS Classified (Eurostar x Caracas) climbed into fourth with a solid 83.33, while Olivia Price and Tulara Deloraine (Tulara Colloon x Don Diarado) moved into fifth on 82.77, both combinations improving their standing through consistent, composed rounds.

Further down the order, penalties began to play a greater role, with several combinations unable to match their first round performances, highlighting the importance of consistency across the championship.

The final round confirmed the dominance of Frida and Dancing Star De Rock 1 Z, with the combination once again producing the highest score of the class, this time a standout 93.20. It was their strongest performance across all three rounds, combining scope, technique and rideability in a way that clearly set them apart and secured the championship.

Josh Collins and Dourkhan’s Dream produced a significant final round to move into second place on 90.73, improving on their earlier rounds and finishing strongly when it mattered most. Anneliese Wansey and KS Classified continued their upward trajectory to finish third with 86.10, maintaining consistent improvement across the competition.

Phillip Lever and Coloroy Park Quintano stepped forward in the final to finish fourth on 85.93, while Sarah Cork and Finch Farm Margot rounded out the top five with 84.70, both combinations delivering solid and composed performances under pressure.

Notably, Phillip and City Limits 111, who had held second position after the first two rounds, dropped back in the final after penalties impacted their score, underlining how influential the final round proved in shaping the overall standings.

Across the three rounds, the championship was ultimately decided by consistency at the highest level, with Frida and Dancing Star De Rock 1 Z leading from the opening day and continuing to build on that performance in each phase. Their progression from 87.17 to 92.27 and finally 93.20 reflected a combination that not only maintained quality but improved under pressure.

Behind them, the battle for the podium was shaped by improvement in the later rounds. Josh and Dourkhan’s Dream moved up into second through a strong final performance, while Anneliese and KS Classified showed one of the most consistent upward trends across the three days to secure third overall.
