Mattea Davidson and Checkamour D have won the first Australian League World Cup Qualifier for 2024, jumping double clear in Shepparton, Victoria last weekend.
This was particularly special for Mattea as it was first World Cup win and she also took out second place with Jaybee Vigilante making it a very worthwhile trip down from Queensland.
Seventeen combinations tackled the David Sheppard track and after we saw five combinations go clear in Round 1, Mattea delivered the only two double clears of the 12 combinations that were called back for Round 2.
Third place went to Sam Overton and Oaks Cassanova. The pair posted the quickest time in the second round, but unfortunately had 4 faults.
We look forward to the second World Cup Qualifier of the season tasking place tommorrow after at Dressage and Jumping with the Stars in Werribee and wish all the competitors the best of luck.
