Emma Collins and Oaks Abracadabra Claim the 2026 GDP Classic Grand Prix
The feature class of the 2026 GDP Classic, came down to three clear rounds and less than a second on the clock. Emma Collins and Oaks Abracadabra delivered both.
Against a deep Grand Prix field, Emma and her mare Oaks Abracadabra were faultless in Round One, stopping the clock at 81.41 seconds, well inside the 85 second time allowed. They returned for Round Two and again produced a clear round, this time in 46.54 seconds, securing the win on a total of zero penalties.

The $20,000 first prize was well earned. It was a performance built on precision and composure across both rounds.
Second place went to Jack Barker and Bellhaven Calisco. Jack produced two clear rounds as well, stopping the clock in 81.58 seconds in Round One and 47.73 seconds in Round Two. Just over a second separated them from Emma in the final phase.
Jess Rice-Ward and Tulara Diarangol rounded out the podium. Jess was also double clear, with times of 82.06 seconds and 48.91 seconds across the two rounds.
Frida Lindgren and Wondaree Colleen finished fourth. They were clear in Round One in 78.91 seconds but picked up four penalties in Round Two, finishing on a total of four faults. Clint Beresford and ES Dakota were fifth, also clear in the opening round before incurring four faults in the second.

Robert Palm with Jaybee Vibrant and Brook Dobbin with Devos GP each completed Round One clear before finishing on four faults overall, as did Sarah McMillan with Fairview Cambridge.
Further down the leaderboard, there were single rail rounds from Rhys Stones with Riverton Kanntador, James Harvey with Yirrkala Celeste, Jamie Kermond with Yalambi’s Lord Byron, Anneliese Wansey with Glenara Cristal and Hudson Craig with Oaks Botswana. Each completed Round One on four penalties.

A full Grand Prix field of 26 combinations came forward, but on this day, the feature class belonged to Emma and Oaks Abracadabra and the 2026 GDP Classic Grand Prix title is theirs.
