Fantastic start to Rowan Willis’ Spruce Meadows Summer Campaign
Aussie Rowan Willis got off to a great start this morning, on the second day of the “National CSI5* in the Friends of the Meadows Cup 1.35-1.40 (FEI) Young Horse class at Spruce Meadows, Calgary, Canada.
Riding his homebred Anglo European Sporthorse mare, Wellington Grandorie, owned by himself and Lord and Lady Mornington, Willis placed third out of a field of 63 combinations.

Starting early in the draw, Willis took the lead and maintained it until the last couple of riders. Willis was “over the moon” with the result, with this wonderful mare only arriving from the UK on Monday.
We wish Willis and fellow Aussie, Scott Keach all the best with the rest of their Spruce Meadows campaign and will be cheering them on from back ‘home’.
