With the recent dearth in competitions over previous months, the Oaks Sport Horses pop-up show last weekend was initiated to help local combinations in their preparation for Sydney Royal. With parking spaces at a premium at this private venue, a few competitors from outside the area who reached out to the organisers were added to the rider lists where space permitted.

Saturday was a lovely Autumn day in the Macarthur region in the south-west of Sydney, encouraging the full contingent of competitors to tackle the tracks ranging from 1.00m to 1.40m.  The weather on Sunday was less kind, with a significant amount of rain hitting the greater Sydney region and many riders making the call to stay home and stay dry!
