Great start for Australian Riders in Hong Kong
Our Australian riders have had a brilliant start to their overseas campaign at the Longines Masters in Hong Kong. It is the first time that Australian based riders have competed at this CSI5* indoor event against the world’s best jump riders – and they both absolutely shined last night.
Billy Raymont and Oaks Redwood had a superb round in the 1.45m speed class to finish in 4th place. Jamie Kermond and Yandoo Oaks Constellation had a fantastic clear first round in 1.50m class later in the evening to make it into the jump off with just an unlucky rail at the second last fence.
Top 10 placings for both our riders at a show of this standard is an excellent achievement and we are so proud of both riders and horses.
Billy Raymont is riding again tonight (Day Two) in the 1.50m speed challenge and we wish him the best of luck.
The 1.50m speed class starts at 8.30pm Hong Kong Time (11.30pm EST) and Billy will be the 22nd rider out.
