Hannah Doolan and Checkbook put in a terrific performance at the FEI World Cup Finals event in Fort Worth, finishing sixth in the $50,000 National Cowgirl Museum & Hall of Fame National Grand Prix presented by Sundance Square after producing two clear rounds against an international field.

The class was held as a jump-off competition during the Fort Worth Final, with Hannah stopping the clock in 67.87 seconds in the opening round before returning with another fault-free effort in 38.27 seconds in the jump-off aboard the 11-year-old Check In gelding, Checkbook.

It was a result full of merit for the Australian rider. In a class where only 11 combinations reached the jump-off, Hannah and Checkbook not only earned their place among that group, but went on to finish inside the top six against a strong line-up.

For Hannah, it was the kind of result that spoke to consistency, composure and partnership. To jump clear in the first round is one thing, but to come back and do it again under pressure in a jump-off at an event of this level is a performance worth celebrating.

Checkbook looked right at home on the stage, and the pair came away with a well-earned sixth placing and USD $2,500 in prize money.

At an event built around some of the biggest names in the sport, this was a really encouraging result for Hannah and for Australia. A top-six finish at Fort Worth is something to be proud of, and it was a reminder that Australian riders can step into these international environments and more than hold their own.
