Jack Barker and Cornets Prinzess clinch NSW State Senior Title
This year’s Jumping NSW State Jumping Championships were run at Sydney Showjumping Club in Clarendon. With extreme heat forcing Saturday’s program to be cancelled, organisers made the great call to decide the Championships through single classes run on Sunday.

Right at the end of a very long day, the 1.40m Senior Championship class was run under Article 273 3.3.1 and was a tight, pressure driven contest.
Nine combinations returned in seeded order for Round 2 after producing clears in the first round. James Paterson-Robinson set the standard late in the draw with Diamond B Vivienne, delivering a fast clear that looked difficult to beat. Jack Barker and Cornets Prinzess entered the ring as the final pair with a clear objective. Jack kept a steady rhythm early, then took an inside turn to the double that made the difference. It saved valuable seconds and secured him the well deserved Senior Title.
Tess McInerney guided Quintation to third after another composed clear, and the rest of the leaderboard reflected just how costly the smallest errors can be at this level.

Earlier in the day, the State Children’s Championship finished with three beautiful clear jump-off rounds. Iliana Hercus claimed the title with Ego Miss Moët, taking the win in 39.440. Evie Magnier secured both second and third, producing two polished clears aboard Master Stevie G and Oganella.

The first championship class on the main arena, the State Junior Championship, delivered another tight finish, with three fault free jump-off rounds deciding the title. Valentina Hercus and Carousel GV were the quickest of the clear rounds to secure the win. Charlie Magnier finished close behind in both second and third with Quinn Z and I’m Here.

The Young Rider Championship saw three impressive clear jump-offs before the rails began to fall. Charlie Magnier took the win with Notre Dame de Bourguignon after a smooth and fast round. Liam Rutland and Adele claimed second with another fault free effort, while Charlie returned to take third aboard Ogano.

The Futurity Championship featured three clear jump offs to decide the podium. Amanda Madigan and Diamond B Chinook produced the winning round, stopping the clock in 44.940. Chris Chugg and CF Carlotta finished second after a fast round with four faults, while Melissa Blair and Condor placed third.

The Mini Prix was the penultimate class of the day on the main arena, with three strong clear jump-offs. Chris Chugg guided Cristallina to the win after a tidy and efficient jump off. Kathy O’Hara and Emissary Lass finished close behind, with Olivia Hamood securing third aboard Tulara Bellensky.
