The final day of the Cavalor Equicare Victorian State Jumping Titles has wrapped up this afternoon at the Werribee Park National Equestrian Centre with finals of the Junior, Senior and Young Rider Competitions, as well as five other finals.
The first class this morning on the Cavelor Arena was the final of the Petcover Victorian Junior Series. In a wonderful competition held over two rounds, the were just two double clear performances, with the win going to Cecilia Clements and Southern Stars Ferrari. The fourth placegetters in this morning’s final were Hayden Parker and Yirrkala Pippi Longstockings, which after a second placing in Round 1, followed by a win in Round 2, was enough for them to secure the title. Jack Barker and Tulara Cholchic were second this morning, which saw them into second place in the Title race. Dakota Pinton and Heartline NZ were third in the series.

The final of the feature class of the show was the Petcover Victorian Senior Series Final, which was the next Title to be decided on the Cavelor Arena. With the only double clear performance in the class, the win today went to James Paterson-Robinson and Equador MVNZ. Following on from their third place in Round 1 and then fifth place in Round 2, the win in the final was enough to secure the title for them. This horse was recently recognised as the best performed horse in Section 2 at Sydney Royal and looks to have a bright future. Ally Lamb and her lovely grey stallion Eagle Rock were second in the series, just beating Phillip Lever and Lomachenko into third.

The third major final of the day was the final of the Petcover Victorian Young Rider Series, where high quality jumping saw five of the 12 combinations entered record double clears. The fastest in Round 2, and therefore the win went to New Zealand rider Georgia Bouzaid and the bay gelding A P Ninja. Today’s win, when combined with fourth and second placings in the rounds was enough to secure the title win.
