Restricted to registered thoroughbreds and jumping at a starting height of 105cm, the class showcases the adaptability, athleticism and longevity of former racehorses in a new discipline.

Riders qualify through state-based pathways across Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia, creating a final that reflects the national reach of Off-The-Track initiatives. In 2026, the prizemoney has increased to $100,000, up from $75,000 the previous year, reinforcing the strength of support from Racing Queensland and Queensland Off-The-Track.

Beyond the prizemoney, the class continues to play an important role in promoting responsible retraining and rehoming, while delivering a final that is consistently competitive and often decided by fine margins.

The Coolmore Australia and Peachester Lodge Senior Teams Showjumping remains the centrepiece of the Magic Millions showjumping program. Jumping at heights of 140 to 145cm, the class is contested in a format that places equal emphasis on individual performance and collective responsibility.

Each team fields four riders, with the first three combinations jumping before the final rider competes in a reverse seeded order. After all four have jumped, the worst score is discarded, leaving the team with the lowest combined score and fastest time declared the winner. The format creates constant movement on the leaderboard and ensures the competition remains live until the final round.

With $1.45 million in prizemoney available, the class attracts some of the most established combinations in the country, alongside riders on upward trajectories. Team composition, strategy and order all play a role, and no single round can be considered expendable.
