New Zealand Young Rider flies in to join AJTL team
The new Australian Jumping Teams League (AJTL) has created a huge amount of interest in Australia and we now have an international rider taking part in this exciting competition. With the first event of the inaugural 2019 series kicking off at Willinga Park this Friday, Team Yandoo have called on 19 year old Briar Burnett-Grant from Taupo, New Zealand to step in for Madeline Sinderberry who is unable to compete in the first two events of the series as her horse (Oaks Kosmo) is recovering from a minor injury.

Burnett-Grant, one of New Zealand’s top Young Riders, is a flying in with her 11-year-old red roan gelding Fiber Fresh Veroana to join Team Yandoo at Willinga Park. It will also be a great reunion for Sinderberry and Burnett-Grant as they competed together and became friends at the Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires last year where Sinderberry finished 9th and Burnett-Grant 6th in the individual competition.
Whilst in the country, Burnett-Grant will be competing at Willinga Park, Melbourne Royal and the AJTL event at SIEC on October 1 before returning home. We are delighted to welcome them to the country and wish them all the best for the upcoming competition.
