Olivia Hamood takes out NSW Senior Indoor Title at Tamworth

A four day, three arena program of Jumping wrapped up yesterday at the Australian Equine and Livestock Events Centre (AELEC) in Tamworth. The Peel River Produce sponsored show incorporated the NSW Indoor Championships, where a number of titles were claimed.

In the race for the NSW Indoor Senior Title, Round 1 on Saturday was won by Queensland Jumping legend Clem Smith and Alite, while Round 2 on Sunday went to another Queensland combination, Olivia Hamood and Knock Out 111. When the round results were combined, the NSW Senior Indoor Title went to the recent winners of the Australian Senior Title, Olivia Hamood and Jane Fonda DVD. They finished both rounds in second place without taking a rail and were rewarded for their consistency with yet another title in 2022.

The NSW Young Rider Indoor Title was won by Ashley Cutler and Kinnordy Rhena. Again, consistency was the key with this combination finishing second in Round 1 behind New Zealand pair Georgia Bouzaid and A P Ninja, before a fantastic double clear effort secured them the second round win.

The winners of the NSW Junior Indoor Title were Ella Hayward and Edena DP. Winners of Round 1 were Charlie Magnier and Master Stevie G, while Alexandra Inglis and Diamond B Babybel took out Round 2. However, a fourth place in Round 1 and a second place in Round 2, with all the rails left up, was enough for Hayward and Edena DP to take the title.

Consistent performances by Bree Wiblin and Silverado EZ secured them the JNSW Amateur Indoor Title. After winning Saturday’s Round 1, they had a double clear performance in Round 2, finishing second behind Round 2 winners Anna White and Body Builder.

Special mention goes to Equine Dentist, Alison Ostenfeld who in combination with Aveden Atom entered six classes over the course of the show, ranging from 1.10m to 1.20m to record wins in four of those classes.
