Scott Keach and Rowan Willis in fine form leading up to WEG announcement
It has been a great preparation for Scott Keach & Rowan Willis heading to the World Equestrian Games final team announcement which is due to come from Equestrian Australia today (21st August).
Friday saw Keach and Fedor continuing their great form at HITS Chicago, winning the US$35,000 SmartPak Classic from 57 starters with a jump-off time of 45.41, just ahead of Beezie Madden on 41.31.

Sunday saw an excited crowd gather for the CSI5* 1.60m, US$500,000 Grand Prix. Thirty eight riders would enter the ring, with the first round proving challenging for many. Only 7 combinations made it through to the jump-off, including both Keach and Willis. Keach and Fedor couldn’t quite catch Beth Underhill (the eventual winner), but Keach was delighted by the way Fedor performed to bring home 2nd Place. Willis and Blue Movie were not far behind and although they recorded the fasted time, had an unfortunate rail down to secure them 4th place – Willis also very pleased with Blue Movie’s performance.
