Stonewall shows off new arena before rain postpones Championships

Stonewall Equestrian, located on the NSW Central Coast and run by Heath and Krissy Harris, held a wonderful two days of Jumping a couple of weeks ago in preparation for the upcoming 2021 Stonewall Championships. However this year it is rain not COVID that has put a spanner in the works. There has been much anticipation for the upcoming Stronewall Championships at this lovely new venue but the weather has not been kind and the team at Stonewall have made the difficult decision to postpone the show.

At their November Show the new main grass arena was used for the first time and received high acclaim from riders. Paired with the existing sand arena which featured at shows earlier this year, a couple of days of fantastic jumping action was had.

The feature class on Saturday was the 1.35m Super Two-Phase class, sponsored by Greengrove Stud Farm. A total of 21 combinations tackled the course, which saw just six combinations get through the first phase clear. James Arkins and the grey gelding Grandiamo made the trip up from the Southern Highlands worthwhile by taking out the win with a double clear performance with the second phase time of exactly 39 seconds. Making it an even better trip, Arkins also filled second place, this time with Joevaro R. Their time of 40.45 seconds just pipped Hayley Cox and Eclipsis into third place, also with a double clear performance in a time of 40.47 seconds.
