Strong Aussie contingent at LGCT Valkenswaard
Celebrating 25 years of show jumping this year, Tops International Arena was the spectacular venue for the 14th leg of the 2018 Longines Global Champions Tour (LGCT). Australia was well represented at this event across the CSI1*, CSI2* and CSI5* competitions held over the weekend. Edwina Tops-Alexander having the opportunity to compete on her home soil with a number of her horses including California, Veronese Team Joy, Cinsey and Good Limit. Julia Lynch was competing on the stunning Copabella Vegas, Georgina Harvey on Que Sera and Chilli Pepper and Chris Chugg stepped out for the first time in Europe with Dito.
Georgina Harvey and Que Sera had a great show, winning the CSI1*1.35m on Friday and finishing 6th in the CSI1*1.35m on Sunday.

Chris Chugg and Dito collected just 4 faults in the 1.45m CSI2* class in Friday to finish 34 out of a strong field of 61 riders on Friday.

Julia Lynch and Copabella Vegas put in some strong performances, finishing on a high with a double clear and 16th place in the 1.45m CSI2* class on Sunday.

The Grand Prix didn’t go as planned for Edwina and California with an uncharacteristic 8 penalties, however she had better outcomes with Veronese Team Joy coming 10th Sunday’s 1.45m CSI2* and 10th again in the CSIYH 1.30/1.35m with Good Limit.
