It is seven years since the Stal Tops Young Rider Series came to Australia courtesy of Jan Tops and Edwina Tops Alexander and this series has been the aspiration of many Young Riders across the country and is always a highly anticipated and hotly contested class.
This year sees a few changes to the series. Most notably, the series has a name change to ‘The Stal Tops Young Rider Series presented by Toti Equestrian’.
The best description of Toti Equestrian comes from the founder herself, Edwina Tops Alexander says, “Life sometimes takes us on an unforgettable journey. It may never be repeated, but it will always endure. A small but incredible horse came into my life unexpectedly and our bond gave each of us the strength, confidence and belief we needed. Toti was that horse and to this day I am humbled and inspired by his courage. Toti overcame a life-changing accident in his early years and against the odds he grew into one of the most successful show jumping horses in the world. I sensed a special connection with Toti from the beginning and this grew over time as our trust and understanding deepened. As a combination we excelled in our sport, but it was always much more than that.”
“Today his magical qualities and warrior spirit have inspired me to create the Toti collection of fine jewellery and the Foundation helping children and adults with disabilities through the power of equine therapy. Each piece of this collection is my tribute to Toti the wonder horse.”
The series will take place once again this year over 4 legs, the GDP Classic at Boneo Park this weekend, the Caboolture Festival of Showjumping in June, Jumping @ Willinga in September and the Sydney Summer Classic in December.
In line with the new sponsorship by Toti, the winner of the series will take home a stunning Toti 9K Confidence Necklace in pink gold featuring 10 white diamonds valued at $1,353.00 AUD.
Each class will carry $3000 prize money to be split as follows:
1st $1300
2nd $750
3rd $450
4th $300
5th $200
In addition, the winner of each class will be presented with a Toti phone case valued at $168 AUD and all 5 placegetters will receive a beautiful Toti Cap valued at $117 AUD.
