The Pacific Fair Magic Millions Showjumping returns this year with a $1.45 million prize pool! Set to take place on the stunning Gold Coast this coming Sunday, January 7, 2024 this is an event not to be missed and promises to be a thrilling experience for both participants and spectators alike.
Hosted by Magic Millions, renowned for their world-class equine events, the Jumping competition set against the picturesque backdrop of the Gold Coast will certainly start the year in style.
The Senior event will once again run as a teams competition, where the top 48 riders were selected via expressions of interest and randomly assigned to teams. This provided the opportunity for both competitors and industry supporters to compete in the richest Jumping event in Australia.
The team event will consist of one round run as a Table A competition, with 12 obstacles of 1.40m-1.45m in height. The final rankings of the teams is based on the total faults of each Team with their three (3) best possible scores counting. The Team with the lowest cumulative total will be deemed the winner. If there is an equality of faults for Teams, the time of the last event competitor in each team will decide the placings.
The Junior individual competition also returns, with 15 of the country’s top Junior riders selected to compete for $10,000 in prize pool. This will undoubtably be a hot competition given the quality of Junior riders in the country at the moment!
New in 2024 is the Queensland Off-The-Track Cup which champions off the track thoroughbreds who had to qualify through various state competitions, this is certainly a welcome addition the the event.
We wish all the competitors the best of luck for the competition ahead.
