Australian Jumping Champion – the title that everyone wants

It is the title that everybody wants – Australian Jumping Champion and in a week from today we will know who are our 2022 Australian Jumping Champions. For the past three years, the Pryde’s EasiFeed Australian Jumping Championships have been held at Boneo Park. This beautiful facility has hosted some exciting moments and we are certainly anticipating more this year.
There will be a number of Championships up for grabs but the history of this event and the prestige that comes with being named Australian Senior Jumping Champion is undeniable.
At the beginning of this year it was Olivia Hamood who claimed victory with Jane Fonda DVD. Reflecting on her 2021 Championship success, Liv Hamood said “Winning the Australian Senior Title last year was a dream come true, it’s something I’ve always wanted to win ever since I was a Junior. I’ve been runner up in Juniors, Young Riders and Seniors but to actually win it was just surreal. Most definitely the highlight of my career so far. I’m excited to be heading back to Boneo this year to give it my best shot again, we haven’t had the most ideal prep but it’s the one show on the calendar each year that everyone wants to attend and everyone wants to perform well at.”
In 2019 we watched Tom McDermott and his mare Elegance De La Charmille take the title – one place up from 2018 when it was Amber Fuller and CP Aretino who jumped to victory.

This year, the Senior Championship will bring together these three most recent title holders – will it be one of these three who take the title again or somebody else entirely?
Pryde’s EasiFeed have once again come onboard as generous sponsors of the Championships and with action taking place in three separate arenas, not to mention over $100,000 in prize money, the excitement is not to be missed. In total, there are over 700 horses and 400 riders entered to compete in the following 2022 Australian titles up for grabs:
- The Verband Holsteiner Germany Future Stars Championship
- The Kiernan Plant Hire Mini Prix Championship
- The Racing Hearts Speed Championship
- The 4-Cyte Children’s Championship
- The Horseland Junior Championship
- The Racing Hearts Young Rider Championship and
- The Pryde’s EasiFeed Senior Championship
An Off-The-Track Championship will also be held, sponsored by the Racing Victoria Off-The-Track Program, which is dedicated to the welfare of retired racing thoroughbreds.
The program for the week also incorporates a range of minor titles and non-championship height classes.
