Boneo Park’s vision for the 2025 Australian Jumping Championships

The Australian Jumping Championships head back to Victoria this year and will take place from 5 – 9 November at the beautiful Boneo Park on the Mornington Peninsula. Aus Champs have previously been held at Boneo Park in 2018, 2019, 2021 (held at the beginning of 2022) and 2022.
Georgia Solomon, the new owner of the venue is committed to the future of the sport and the team at Boneo Park are planning to deliver a spectacular event. Fiona Selby, Managing Director, shares insights into what participants and spectators can expect.
The competition format will mirror previous years, featuring three arenas for the championships. “It will be a three-ring championship, similar to when Boneo Park last hosted the event” Fiona confirms, with a plan to deliver a great experience for competitors across all levels of competition.
One notable change this year is the scheduling of the feature day. Like it was at SIEC in 2023 and Willinga Park in 2024, the Senior Championship and VIP day will take place on Saturday, rather than the traditional Sunday, providing a fresh twist to the event’s lineup. Fiona notes, “We’re still focusing on the championship classes for Seniors, Young Riders, Juniors, and Children, but the Saturday will be a highlight this year.”
In addition to the core championships, Boneo Park will continue its partnership with Racing Victoria to incorporating an off-the-track championship to highlight the versatility of retired racehorses and showcase their potential in Jumping.
While the event is gaining momentum and planning is still in the early stages, Fiona highlights that the enthusiasm from riders has been overwhelming, ‘with rider sponsorships nearly sold out shortly after the event’s launch.’ Any other parties interested in class sponsorship are welcome to reach out.’
In closing, Fiona expresses her commitment to creating an engaging atmosphere for both competitors and spectators. “We’re working hard on an extensive marketing campaign to attract a large number of spectators and make this event truly special,” she shares.
As preparations ramp up for the Australian Jumping Championships at Boneo Park, excitement builds for what promises to be a great event.
