A blustery start for the NSW Championships

The NSW State Showjumping Championship kicked off today at the Exhibition Park in Canberra (EPIC). Hosted by the ACT Showjumping Club, the event will be run over four days.
Today saw action on just two arenas, with the first rounds of four different championship series held. Riders were challenged by strong cold winds, however, most coped admirably with the trying conditions. Congratulations to all the winners and placegetters, in particular to James Arkins who took out Round One of the Senior Championship on Rosthwaite Vigilante II as well as Round One of the NSW Breeders Cup Championship on Captain Lightning Bolt. Results from all the classes today as well as current pointscores are detailed below.
