Trans-Tasman Challenge kicks off for Young Riders in NZ
Our Australian Young Rider Team have started their campaign in NZ at the Larsen Sawmilling Gisborne Showjumping Championships. The Australian team have four borrowed horses for the event and will switch these around over the three day competition. The riders had their first round today on their borrowed horses.

The Australian team finished on a total of 18 faults, just behind the New Zealand team who finished on 12 faults. Cameron Moffatt, Clemency Hughes and Lucie Aldridge all jumped clear in the second round.

After Day One New Zealand is on the lead on 4 points (3 points for the win and 1 point for 3 clear rounds), followed closely by Australia on 3 points (2 points for second place and 1 point for 3 clear rounds).
Day Two will see a change of horse and rider combinations for both teams.
