2023 Australian League FEI World Cup Qualifying Series

The FEI World Cup Jumping Series comprises 13 leagues across all continents.

The top placed horse and riders from each league are invited to attend the World Cup Jumping Final, which in 2024 is to be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on 16-20 April.

ROUND 10 – SYDNEY (SUMMER CLASSIC) – (9 DECEMBER)

The eighth and final leg of the 2023 Australian FEI World Cup Qualifying Series, has been completed at the Sydney Summer Classic at SIEC.

Finishing the class in second place, Tom McDermott has taken out the series, despite a small start list only seeing him able to add 2 points (13 gained and 11 dropped) to finish on a total of 80 points. As the series winner. Tom has been invited to compete in the FEI Jumping World Cup Final to be held in Riyadh in the KSA in April next year.

Sarah McMillan and Madeline Sinderberry, neither of whom competed in this leg, have finished in equal second place on 71 points.

Fourth place in the series went to Amber Fuller with 64 points which was a great effort, given she competed in only 4 legs of the series.

Billy Raymont, who picked up 11 points for his third placing in Sydney (but had to drop 3 as only the best five rounds are allowed to count) ended up with a total of 59 for the series, which was not quite enough to catch Amber.

The winner of the Sydney Leg, last year’s series winner, Sam Overton scored the maximum of 16 points for the leg with only 12 riders entered, in his only appearance of the season.
