Aquis Champions Tour Results – Day 6
DAY 6 REPORT – THURSDAY 2 MAY
After a couple of light overnight showers that did little more than settle the dust, sunny conditions greeted riders on Day 6 of the Aquis Champions Tour. Today saw action on only two arenas, however, the jumping was high class with the feature event of the day being the first qualifier for the Horse Power Gold Tour.

Class 2.10: Yandoo Park – Bronze Tour 1st Qualifier – 1.30m
With $1,750 total prize money on offer and a start-list 80 combinations long, the competition was fierce in the First Qualifier for the Yandoo Park Bronze Tour, held at Elysian Fields today. Held in front of a small but enthusiastic crowd, we only had to wait until the third combination out for the first clear round by Gemma Creighton and Gizmo. It took a while until another clear was achieved and we knew there would be a jump off to decide the class. In all there were 13 clear rounds achieved with the fastest going to Melissa Blair and Gigant Z.
The jump off order was the same as the original order of jumping. Gemma Creighton and Gizmo set the pace with a clear round of 50.75 seconds. Fifth out in the jump-off was Olivia Hamood and Dada Des Brimbelles Z who took almost 2 seconds off Creighton’s time to take over the lead. Hamood held this position until Paul Brent and Kabalesse Kavita were able to record a clear round almost half a second faster. As none of the remaining three combinations were able to challenge Brent’s performance, he held on to take the win.
